New Issue: GS Finance prices $8.51 million trigger gears on index basket

Chicago, Feb. 1 – GS Finance Corp. priced $8.51 million of 0% trigger gears due Jan. 24, 2031 linked to an unequally-weighted basket comprised of the Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 70% weight, the S&P 500 index with a 15% weight and the Russell 2000 index with a 15% weight and according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the basket return is greater than zero, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 1.9 times the basket return.

Investors will receive par if the basket declines by 23.5% or less and be fully exposed to the basket’s decline from its initial level if it declines by more than 23.5%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter. UBS Financial Services Inc. is the selling agent.
