Norfolk, Va., Jan. 6 – The European Investment Bank priced a €500 million 0.5% climate awareness bond (CAB) due Nov. 15, 2023, increasing its previously announced €1 billion CAB to €1.5 billion.
This brings EIB’s total CAB issuance to €11.8 billion, according to a news release.
The new issue has been awarded a sustainability bond rating of b+ from oekom.
BofA Merrill Lynch, Credit Agricole CIB, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, Rabobank and UniCredit acted as joint bookrunners.
The lender for the European Union is based in Kirchberg, Luxembourg.
