Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 5 – The European Investment Bank priced a €400 million 0.5% climate awareness bond (CAB) due Nov. 15, 2023, increasing its previously announced €600 million CAB to €1 billion.
This brings EIB’s total CAB issuance to €10.5 billion, according to a news release.
The new issue (Aaa/AAA/AAA) has been awarded a sustainability bond rating of b+ from oekom.
Credit Agricole CIB, Rabobank, SG CIB and UniCredit acted as joint bookrunners.
The lender for the European Union is based in Kirchberg, Luxembourg.
