S&P lifts Eurasian Bank

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on JSC Eurasian Bank to stable from negative while affirming the B/B long- and short-term counterparty credit ratings and upgrading its national-scale rating to kzBB+ from kzBB.

The actions reflect the robust economic recovery in the Republic of Kazakhstan, S&P said, and stabilization of the operating environment.

The ratings also consider the positive trend in Eurasian Bank's asset quality and profitability, the agency said, as well as the bank's adequate funding and liquidity.
