Fitch affirms Estonia

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the Republic of Estonia's long-term foreign and local currency ratings at A and A+, respectively. At the same time, the short-term foreign currency rating is affirmed at F1 and the country ceiling at AA-.

The outlook on the long-term foreign rating remains positive while that on the local currency rating is stable.

"Estonia's credit ratings receive considerable support from an established track record of policy credibility, which has resulted in strong public finances and business-friendly economic policies," said David Heslam, associate director in the Fitch Sovereigns Group.
