S&P affirms Alion Science

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed a B- rating on Alion Science and Technology Corp. and removed ratings from CreditWatch, where they were placed with negative implications on Sept. 24 while the company renegotiated aspects of its credit agreement with lenders.

The outlook is negative.

"The affirmation and removal from CreditWatch reflect our view that the company has achieved some covenant relief in the near term through a new amendment to its revolving credit agreement," S&P analyst Jennifer Pepper said in a statement.
