New Issue: South Africa’s Eskom sells $500 million 4.314% six-year notes

Chicago, Aug. 16 – Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. sold $500 million of 4.314% six-year notes (BB-), according to multiple listings for the notes.

The notes are guaranteed by the government of South Africa.

Proceeds, according to S&P Global Ratings, were slated to be used for capital expenditures.

Eskom is South Africa’s primary electric supplier.
