Ernst & Young adds 10 to U.S. restructuring, working capital groups

Milwaukee, Nov. 19 - Ernst & Young LLP's transaction advisory services team has announced 10 new hires to its U.S. restructuring services group and working capital advisory services group.

In the U.S. restructuring services group, Michael Scott has joined as a partner; Rick Haughey, Rocky Ho, Florence Lentini, Alicia Masse and John Llewellyn have been hired as principals; and new executive directors are Victoria Creason and Nicole Horton. Principals Peter Kingma and Eric Wright are the new additions to the working capital advisory services group.

"We are seeing increased demand for financial and organizational restructuring solutions - both in the [United States] and abroad," Rich Jeanneret, Americas vice-chair of Ernst & Young's transaction advisory services, said in a news release.

"We'll continue to add senior professionals to meet this growing need."

Scott will be based in Dallas, effective Nov. 30. He joins Ernst & Young from AlixPartners. Scott has over 15 years of experience developing operational and financial restructuring solutions, including forecasting and managing cash in a crisis environment. He has worked in industries such as financial services, oil and gas, retail, wholesale, health care and manufacturing.

Haughey is based in Atlanta. For 20 years, Haughey has worked with high-profile clients on corporate restructurings, turnarounds, acquisitions and divestiture projects. More recently he was the chief operating officer of a privately held portfolio of quick-service restaurants. Haughey was also a senior managing director at FTI Consulting.

Based in San Francisco, Ho lends his 16 years of experience in pre-acquisition due diligence, merger integration, performance improvement and bankruptcy and restructuring in retail, telecommunications, financial services, IT consulting, public utilities, airlines and food services. Ho is also from FTI Consulting.

Lentini is based in New York. Her 18-year career includes working with distressed situations and leading high-profile national and international assignments across various industries. She joins Ernst & Young from XRoads Solutions Group.

Effective Dec. 7, Masse will join the firm's Detroit office from BBK. She has over 25 years of experience in financial turnaround, cost effectiveness strategies and credit policy matters and has assisted companies in the automotive, heavy industrials and manufacturing sectors.

Based in New York, Llewellyn joins the firm with over 16 years of experience in restructuring transactions, strategic business planning, cash tracing, operational improvement and scenario modeling. He was previously with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP.

Creason has over 25 years of domestic and international experience in the restructuring of underperforming companies in aviation, cargo and transportation, automotive, consumer products, retail and industrial capital goods industries. She joins from FTI Consulting and is based in Chicago.

From Macquarie Capital Inc., Horton is based in Ernst & Young's Los Angeles office. She has 10 years of experience with restructurings, refinancings, debt structure, business plans and cash flow models, valuations, mergers and acquisitions and strategic alternatives for retail and consumer products.

Previously with REL Consulting, Kingma is based in Chicago. He has over 18 years of experience leading and managing global engagement teams focused on releasing cash from working capital for large domestic and multinational companies.

Wright is based in Los Angeles. He has over 15 years of experience in bankruptcy and turnaround assignments and in leading working capital management and cash flow programs. Wright joins Ernst & Young from Alvarez & Marsal.
