Gazit ups stake in Equity One to 48.02%

Des Moines, Jan. 18 - Gazit Group increased its ownership of Equity One, Inc. to 48.02% from 45.64%, according to an SC 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

The investors - Chaim Katzman; Gazit-Globe Ltd.; M G N (USA) Inc.; Gazit (1995), Inc.; MGN America, LLC; First Capital Realty; First Capital America Holding Corp.; Silver Maple, Inc.; and Ficus, Inc. - collectively own 35,478,159.717 shares of Equity One.

Between Nov. 26 and Jan. 16, Gazit (1995) bought a total of 1,599,626 shares at prices ranging from $21.13 to $22.50.

Equity One is a shopping center developer based in North Miami Beach, Fla.
