Epworth Villa granted three-month extension to negotiate, file plan

By Kali Hays

New York, July 8 – Central Oklahoma United Methodist Retirement Facility, Inc., which does business as Epworth Villa, received a third extension of its exclusive plan filing period with a Wednesday order from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Specifically, the company’s plan filing period is extended to Sept. 14 from June 15.

As previously reported, Epworth said that the extension will allow it to continue negotiating the terms of a modified plan, begin a formal solicitation process and to file a related disclosure statement.

The company filed a plan of reorganization in December.

Epworth Villa, an assisted living facility in Oklahoma City, filed for bankruptcy on July 18, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-12995.
