Epworth Villa seeks further three-month stretch of plan filing period

By Kali Hays

New York, June 12 – Central Oklahoma United Methodist Retirement Facility, Inc., which does business as Epworth Villa, asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma for a third extension of its exclusive plan filing period, according to a Friday motion.

Specifically, the company asked that its plan filing period be extended to Sept. 14 from June 15.

Epworth said that the requested extension will allow it to continue negotiating the terms of a modified plan, begin a formal solicitation process and to file a related disclosure statement.

As previously reported, the company filed a plan of reorganization in December.

Epworth Villa, an assisted living facility in Oklahoma City, filed for bankruptcy on July 18, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-12995.
