EPIX buys back $3.12 million of 3% convertible senior notes due 2024

Knoxville, Tenn., July 10 - EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. bought back $2.9 million of its 3% convertible senior notes due 2024 from Citigroup Global Markets Inc. on July 9, according to an 8-K filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It also bought back $215,000 of the 3% convertibles from Loomis, Sayles & Co., LP on the same day.

The Citigroup notes were repurchased for $521,280 in cash and 3,644,352 common shares. The Loomis notes were repurchased for $74,413.65 in cash.

Following these repurchases, $50,000 of the convertibles remain outstanding.

Lexington, Mass.-based EPIX is a biopharmaceutical company.
