Elliott Associates seeks sale of Epicor Software

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 22 - A group of Epicor Software Corp. investors led by Elliott Associates, LP sent a letter to the company's board of directors suggesting it is time to begin a process to sell Epicor.

The letter was sent on Aug. 20, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In a prior SEC filing, Elliot asked Epicor whether the company has considered exploring strategic alternatives.

Elliott and its affiliates beneficially own 5,978,483 shares, or 9.9%, of Epicor.

The Irvine, Calif.-based company designs, develops, markets and supports enterprise application software products.
