EP Energy net loss grows to $82.54 million in December; revenue falls

Pittsburgh, Feb. 3 – EP Energy Corp. reported an $82.54 million net loss for December on $46.35 million in total revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Those figures show a significant decline from the $13 million net loss posted for November on $68.16 million in total revenue.

December’s net loss includes $12.77 million in interest expense and $43.33 million in net reorganization items.

In addition, the company listed $32.32 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Dec. 31, down from $79.88 million at the end of November.

The oil and natural gas exploration and production company is based in Houston. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 3 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas under Chapter 11 case number 19-35654.
