Entergy Texas files $1.2 billion mortgage bonds shelf

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 11 - Entergy Texas Inc. filed a $1.2 billion mortgage bonds shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The bonds may be convertible.

Proceeds will be used to acquire or redeem outstanding securities or for other general corporate purposes.

Based in Beaumont, Texas, Entergy Texas generates, transmits, distributes and sells electric power to retail customers in Texas.
