Entergy New Orleans shows $3.96 million November operating income

Pittsburgh, Jan. 3 - Entergy New Orleans, Inc. reported $3.96 million in operating income for November on $34.97 million in operating revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The numbers show a vast improvement over a $40.24 million operating loss posted in October on revenues of $17.78 million.

The net income for November was $3.06 million, up from a $27.64 million October net loss.

As of Nov. 30, the company had $62.74 million in cash, compared with $32.79 million at the end of October.

Entergy New Orleans provides electric and natural gas service to customers in New Orleans and is the smallest of Entergy Corp.'s five utility companies. It filed for Chapter 11 on Sept. 23 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Its case number is 05-17697.
