Moody’s changes Entergy New Orleans to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it changed the outlook for Entergy New Orleans, Inc. (ENO) to positive from stable and affirmed all of its ratings.

According to the agency, the outlook revision reflects the utility's strong and sustained financial profile since it emerged from bankruptcy protection in 2007, its timely and transparent recovery prospects and incrementally improved growth going forward.

"ENO has experienced comprehensive rate settlements which translate into strong, and sustained, financial performance," Moody’s vice president and senior analyst Susana Vivares said in a news release.

"Although ENO's highly concentrated service territory and ongoing vulnerability to storms are material constraints for the Ba2 rating, the service territory is experiencing broad growth and a flurry of investments, that outpace the recovery for the state."
