Cerberus acquires $7.11 million Enron claim through Merrill Lynch

Washington, Feb. 17 - Cerberus Partners LP acquired claim 4555 against Enron Corp. for $7.11 million from Merrill Lynch, according to Feb. 4 documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Merrill Lynch acquired the claim from H.Q. Energy Services (U.S.) Inc. of Coraopolis, Pa. Cerberus is a New York-based private investment firm.

Enron's Chapter 11 case number is 01-16034. The Houston-based energy company filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 11, 2001.
