Barclays plans market-linked notes on Energy Select Sector SPDR fund

Morgantown, W.Va., Jan. 29 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% market-linked securities with leveraged upside participation to a cap and fixed percentage buffered downside due Feb. 5, 2021 linked to the Energy Select Sector SPDR fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of any fund gain, subject to a maximum return of 37% to 42% that will be set at pricing.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

Wells Fargo Securities, LLC and Barclays are the agents.

The notes will price on Jan. 31.

The Cusip number is 06744CRE3.
