Carlson Capital's stake in Energy Partners dips slightly

Charlotte, N.C., March 17 - Carlson Capital, LP and its affiliates sold 11,200 shares of Energy Partners, Ltd., reducing their stake in the company to 9.4% from 9.5%.

The shares were sold on March 4 for $11.24 per share, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors beneficially own 2,994,968 shares of the New Orleans-based independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company.

Carlson and its affiliates bought 499,900 shares of Energy Partners' stock between Feb. 20 and Feb. 29 priced from $10.51 to $12.39, a prior SEC filing stated.

On Jan. 25, Carlson Capital reported the purchase of 383,300 shares of Energy Partners between Dec. 4 and Jan. 23 priced from $10.65 to $12.64 each.
