Energy Future Holdings asks court to amend confirmation hearing dates

Bethlehem, Pa., Aug. 12 – Energy Future Holdings Corp. requested the confirmation hearing dates involving its Chapter 11 plan be amended, according to a motion filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Energy Future Holdings is requesting the confirmation hearing begin on Oct. 28.

The court initially approved the start of the confirmation hearing on Oct. 5.

“An expeditious confirmation hearing will permit the debtors and the other relevant parties to focus on executing the transactions contemplated in the plan,” the motion said.

A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Aug. 18.

Energy Future, a Dallas-based power generation company and utility operator, filed bankruptcy on April 29. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-10979.
