Energy Future sets Dec. 14 deadline for filing asbestos-related claims

Tacoma, Wash., July 30 – Anyone who has a claim against Energy Future Holdings Corp. for asbestos-related illness or who may develop an asbestos-related illness in the future must submit a claim by 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 14 to be eligible for compensation now or in the future, according to a company news release.

Energy Future, a Dallas-based power generation company and utility operator, filed bankruptcy on April 29, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-10979.
