Energy Future court OKs committee to hire Polsinelli PC as co-counsel

New York, Oct. 17 – Energy Future Holdings Corp.’s official committee of unsecured creditors obtained approval to employ Polsinelli PC as additional legal counsel, according to an Oct. 17 order from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The hiring is retroactive to May 13.

Along with the committee’s lead counsel, Morrison & Forester LLP, Polsinelli will assist in negotiations with Energy Future, analyze any proposed plan or sale and represent the committee in court as necessary.

Polsinelli attorneys will be paid between $340 and $620 per hour.

Energy Future, a Dallas-based power generation company and utility operator, filed for bankruptcy on April 29, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-10979.
