Endo International seeks 39-day extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 9 – Endo International plc is seeking a 39-day extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The extension would push back the exclusive plan filing period through Feb. 16 from Jan. 8 and the exclusive solicitation period through April 16 from March 8.

As previously reported, the company has filed a plan of reorganization and disclosure statement.

The debtors hope to start solicitation in the coming weeks and currently anticipate seeking confirmation of their plan in March.

“As the debtors advance towards the finish line, it is critical that this court extend their exclusive periods in order to preserve the substantial progress made to date and facilitate the debtors’ exit from Chapter 11,” the company said in the motion.

A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 25.

Endo is a Dublin, Ireland-based specialty pharmaceutical company that filed bankruptcy on Aug. 16, 2022. The Chapter 11 case number is 22-22549.
