Endo International mediation extended again, now through Aug. 4

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., July 13 – Endo International plc will continue mediating through Aug. 4, according to a status report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Retired judge Shelley C. Chapman is acting as mediator, as previously reported.

The company has reached settlements through the mediation with the official committee of unsecured creditors and the official committee of opioid claimants and now has their support for a restructuring deal that would allow for the sale to the first-lien lenders.

Chapman said she continues to engage in active and ongoing negotiations with the mediation parties, in particular with those parties with whom settlement has not yet been achieved.

Endo is a Dublin, Ireland-based specialty pharmaceutical company that filed bankruptcy on Aug. 16, 2022. The Chapter 11 case number is 22-22549.
