Endo International mediation extended through end of March

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., March 16 – Endo International plc’s mediation with certain parties, including the official committee of unsecured creditors and the official committee of opioid claimants, was extended through March 31, according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The mediation, which began in January, is focused on the company’s bid procedures, its stalking horse agreement with first-lien debtholders, and its motion for an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan.

The company recently reached settlements through the mediation with both committees and now has their support for a restructuring deal that would allow for the sale to the first-lien lenders.

However, the company said that some mediation parties still have unresolved issues, and it hopes to continue discussions with those parties.

Endo is a Dublin, Ireland-based specialty pharmaceutical company that filed bankruptcy on Aug. 16, 2022. The Chapter 11 case number is 22-22549.
