S&P acts on Russian banks

S&P said it took actions on Gazprombank and Gazprombank (Switzerland) Ltd., Alfa-Bank and VTB Bank after reviewing the Russian banking sector and raising its anchor for banks operating in Russia to bb from bb-.

The agency raised its issuer credit ratings to Gazprombank and its subsidiary to BBB- from BB+, Alfa-Bank to BBB- from BB+ and affirmed VTB Bank’s rating at BBB- and boosted the subordinated debt to B from B-.

The outlooks are stable.
