Fitch rates Enbridge notes BBB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB+ rating to Enbridge Inc.’s offering of senior unsecured notes.

The ratings are based on solid credit metrics, the quality of regulation to which it is subject, its size, its diversity of cash flows, the overall stability of earnings and Enbridge’s demonstrated technical competence in overseeing pipeline construction and operation, Fitch said.

Proceeds will be used to repay short-term debt, for capital expenditures and for general corporate purposes.
