Chicago, April 10 – Inversiones CMPC SA issued $500 million in 10-year green and sustainability-linked notes (BBB/BBB), according to multiple notices.
The bonds priced with a 6 1/8% international rate, or with a yield of 6.173%. The spread came at 185 basis points over the 10-year Treasury.
The Rule 144A and Regulation S deal was placed by BBVA, BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, MUFG, Santander, Credit Agricole CIB, Mizuho and Scotiabank.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and to fund, in whole or in part, expenditures and investments in several green projects during the next two years, according to S&P Global Ratings.
Empresas CMPC SA is the guarantor.
CMPC is a Santiago, Chile-based multinational corporation that produces wood, pulp, packaging products, household and non-household sanitary protection products and tissue paper.
