Edenor cancels some fixed-rate par notes due 2016 for $1.27 million

Knoxville, Tenn., May 29 - Empresa Distribuidora y Comercializadora Norte SA bought back some of its fixed-rate par notes due 2016 at market value for $1.27 million, according to a 6-K filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes were canceled on April 24.

Bank of New York is the trustee and paying agent, and Banco Río de la Plata SA is the registrar, transfer and paying agent in Argentina and representative of the trustee in Argentina.

Edenor is an electricity distribution company based in Buenos Aires.
