Argentina's Empresa Distribuidora Sur to issue $450 million MTNs

Pittsburgh, April 13 - Empresa Distribuidora Sur SA (Edesur) will issue up to $450 million of medium-term notes under a program originally approved by shareholders in 1993, according to a prospectus.

According to the prospectus, the notes can be issued in one or more classes with a minimum term of 31 days. The program will be in effect for five years from Oct. 14, 2008.

The program was rated A+ (arg) by Fitch Argentina.

JPMorgan Chase Bank, Sucursal Londres is the principal payment agent; JPMorgan Chase Bank, Sucursal Buenos Aires is the financial representative in Argentina, as well as the payment and registration agent in Argentina.

Edesur is a Buenos Aires power distribution and trading services company.
