Moody's: Empresas Amazonense debentures Baa2

Moody's Investors Services said it upgraded Empresa Amazonense de Transmissão de Energia SA's issuer rating on the global scale to Baa2 and to Aaa.br on the Brazilian national scale from Baa3 and Aa1.br, respectively.

At the same time, the agency said it upgraded the global and Brazilian national scale ratings on the company's existing R$295 million senior unsecured debentures due in 2016 to Baa2 and Aaa.br, respectively.

In addition, Moody's said it assigned a Baa2 global scale rating and Aaa.br rating on the Brazilian national scale to the five-year R$150 million senior unsecured amortizing debentures to be issued in the local market. The outlook is stable.

The Baa2 and Aaa.br issuer ratings reflect the company's predictable and stable cash flows provided by its diversified portfolio of long-term regulated concession contracts to operate electricity transmission lines in different regions of Brazil.
