Colombia's Emgesa plans peso-denominated 10-year note offering

By Christine Van Dusen

Atlanta, Jan. 18 - Colombia's Emgesa SA ESP is planning a Colombian peso-denominated offering of 10-year notes that will be payable in dollars, a market source said Tuesday.

Citigroup and Deutsche Bank are the bookrunners for the Rule 144A and Regulation S offering, which could price as early as Thursday.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including financing new projects and repaying existing debt.

Emgesa is an electricity supplier based in Bogota, Colombia.
