New Issue: Emerson Electric sells $750 million 0.875% notes due 2026 at 99.712

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 17 – Emerson Electric Co. priced $750 million of 0.875% six-year notes on Thursday at 99.712 to yield 0.924% with a spread of Treasuries plus 65 basis points, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay commercial paper, for general corporate purposes and to pay a portion of the purchase price for the company’s planned acquisition of Open Systems International, Inc.

Emerson is a St. Louis-based technology and engineering company.
