By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., July 16 – American Century International Bond Funds’ Emerging Markets Debt Fund has added Phil Yuhn as a portfolio manager, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund seeks total return by investing at least 80% of its net assets in fixed-income instruments of issuers that are economically tied to emerging markets. The fund invests in debt instruments issued by both foreign governments and corporations. Typical investments are denominated in dollars but may be denominated in local emerging markets currencies as well.

Kansas City, Mo.-based American Century Investment Management, Inc. is the investment adviser to the fund.
