Emeco Chapter 15 case closed following completion of restructuring

Pittsburgh, June 7 – Emeco Holdings Ltd.’s Chapter 15 bankruptcy case was closed on Tuesday by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Emeco’s foreign representative said in a court filing that the company completed its Australian restructuring proceedings on March 31.

“The primary purpose of the Chapter 15 case has been achieved,” foreign representative Ian Matthew Testrow said.

Emeco is a provider of equipment solutions to the mining industry and is based in Perth, Australia. The company filed bankruptcy on Feb. 8, 2016 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York under Chapter 15 case number 16-13080.
