Quercus' stake in Emcore dips below 5%

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 20 - Investors led by Quercus Trust decreased their ownership in Emcore Corp. to 4.9% with the sale of 2,466,544 shares between June 2 and July 24 at prices from $4.87 to $7.97 each.

The investors now own approximately 3.8 million shares of Emcore, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

Based in Somerset, N.J., Emcore is a provider of compound semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the broadband, fiber optic, satellite and solar power markets.
