New Issue: El Paso, Texas, prices $113.97 million of certificates, bonds

New York, July 31 – The City of El Paso, Texas, priced $113,965,000 of series 2014 certificates of obligation and general obligation refunding bonds, according to a pricing sheet. The deal was downsized from $130.36 million.

The deal included $64,605,000 of series 2014 certificates of obligation and $49.36 million of series 2014A G.O. refunding bonds.

The certificates are due 2017 to 2034 with a term bond due in 2040. The serial bonds have 5% coupons with 0.69% to 3.35% yields. The 2040 bonds have a 4% coupon priced at 98.409 to yield 4.1%.

The bonds are due 2016 to 2031 with 2% to 5% coupons with yields from 0.41% to 3.17%.

The bonds (/AA/AA) were sold through Raymond James/Morgan Keegan.

Proceeds will be used to finance public works projects, including transit projects, as well as to refund the city’s series 2005 certificates and series 2006 G.O. bonds.
