Electrawinds granted creditor protection to allow reorganization talks

Pittsburgh, Dec. 27 - Electrawinds SE and Electrawinds NV were granted protection against creditors until March 27 to allow for negotiation of a judicial reorganization with creditors, according to a news release.

The Electrawinds entities applied for judicial reorganization on Dec. 9. The Commercial Court in Ostend, Belgium, granted the protection order.

The court also appointed three judicial trustees, who will assist Electrawinds and its board of directors during this period and will replace LDS NV and Luc Desender in the corporate bodies of Electrawinds NV and Electrawinds SE, the release said.

Electrawinds is an Ostend, Belgium-based international renewable energy company.
