New Issue: Goldman prices $5.52 million buffered equity notes tied to MSCI EAFE for Eksportfinans

San Diego, Sept. 23 - Eksportfinans ASA priced $5.52 million of 0% buffered equity index-linked notes due Oct. 29, 2012 tied to the MSCI EAFE index via Goldman Sachs & Co., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the final index level is greater than or equal to 85% of the initial index level, the payout at maturity will be the maximum settlement amount of $1,124 per $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will lose 1.1765% for every 1% decline in the index beyond 15%.

The initial index level of 1,410.24 is higher than the closing level of the index at pricing, 1,403.16.
