New Issue: Merrill prices $6.6 million Stars tied to S&P 500 for Eksportfinans

New York, June 17 - Eksportfinans ASA priced $6.6 million of 0% Strategic Accelerated Redemption Securities due Dec. 23, 2011 linked to the S&P 500 index via Bank of America Merrill Lynch, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index level on the Dec. 16, 2011 observation date is greater than or equal to the initial level, the notes will be automatically called and investors will receive par of $10 plus an annualized call premium of 14.72%.
If the notes are not called prior to maturity, investors will share fully in any losses.
