Morgan Stanley plans buffered PLUS tied to S&P 500 for Eksportfinans

New York, Oct. 1 - Eksportfinans ASA plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due October 2011 linked to the S&P 500 index via Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus double any index gain, subject to a maximum return of 17.6% to 19.6% that will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 20% or less and will be exposed to any decline beyond 20%.

The notes will price and settle in October.
