Wachovia plans enhanced yield securities linked to iShares MSCI Emerging Markets for Eksportfinans

By Laura Lutz

Des Moines, March 6 - Eksportfinans ASA plans to price enhanced yield securities due Sept. 25, 2008 linked to shares of the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund via agent Wachovia Capital Markets, LLC, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest on the notes will accrue at 10.5% to 11.5% per year, payable monthly. The exact coupon will be set at pricing.

If the shares close at or below their knock-in price - 75% of their initial price - during the life of the notes and finish below their initial price, the payout at maturity will be a number of shares of the fund equal to par divided by the initial price.

Otherwise, the payout will be par.
