New Issue: Goldman Sachs prices another $1.72 million notes linked to ruble basket for Eksportfinans

Des Moines, Oct. 12 - Goldman, Sachs & Co. priced another $1.72 million of leveraged notes due Oct. 16, 2008 linked to a ruble basket for issuer Eksportfinans ASA, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

This issue increases the deal size to $65.06 million.

The latest $1.72 million of notes priced at 100.8, in contrast to the previous $63.35 million of notes, which priced at par.

The first tranche included $47.82 million of note and priced on Oct. 1. The second tranche included $15.53 million of notes and priced on Oct. 5.

The basket consists of the exchange rate of the ruble against the dollar with a 2/3 weight and the exchange rate of the euro against the dollar with a 1/3 weight.

The payout at maturity will be 107.9% of par plus 250% of any gain on the basket. Investors will receive at least par.
