New Issue: Portugal's EDP prices €750 million 5¾% five-year notes at 99.472 to yield 5 7/8%

Portland, Ore., Sept. 14 - Energias de Portugal priced a €750 million issue of 5¾% five-year senior notes (Ba1/BB+/BBB-) at 99.472 to yield 5 7/8% on Friday, according to an informed source.
The yield printed on top of the yield talk.
Barclays, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, ING, Mizuho, SG CIB, Banco Espirito Santo SA and Millennium were the joint bookrunners.
The issuing entity was EDP Finance BV, a subsidiary of the Portuguese utility.
