S&P rates Ecuador notes B-

S&P said it assigned its B- issue rating on Ecuador's senior unsecured notes for a total amount of $2.5 billion.

The notes are due in October 2027 and have a coupon of 8 7/8%.

The agency said the rating on the notes is the same as the long-term foreign currency sovereign credit rating on Ecuador.
