ECOtality creditors committee gets OK to hire lead counsel’s new firm

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 17 – ECOtality North America’s official committee of unsecured creditors received court approval to hire Dickinson Wright PLLC as counsel, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.

The employment will be retroactive to June 4.

The committee said the principal attorney designated to represent it is Carolyn J. Johnsen, and her agreed hourly rate for this case is $565 per hour.

According to the motion, Johnsen has served as lead counsel for the committee since its original appointment and has recently changed law firms to Dickinson Wright. The committee requested that she continue as counsel.

ECOtality, a renewable energy company based in San Francisco, filed bankruptcy on Sept. 16, 2013. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-16126.
