ECOtality creditors committee looks to hire lead counsel’s new firm

Pittsburgh, June 11 – ECOtality North America’s official committee of unsecured creditors requested court approval to hire Dickinson Wright PLLC as counsel, according to a June 10 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.

If approved, the employment will be retroactive to June 4.

The committee said the principal attorney presently designated to represent it is Carolyn J. Johnsen, and her agreed hourly rate for this case is $565 per hour.

According to the motion, Johnsen has served as lead counsel for the committee since its original appointment and has recently changed law firms to Dickinson Wright. The committee requested that she continue as counsel.

ECOtality, a renewable energy company based in San Francisco, filed bankruptcy on Sept. 16, 2013 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-16126.
