Colombia’s Ecopetrol could issue up to $1 billion of notes

Atlanta, May 16 – Ecopetrol SA could issue up to $1 billion of new notes, a market source said on Monday.
The proceeds will be used for the company’s financing needs.
Other details were not immediately available on Monday.
Ecopetrol is a Bogota, Colombia-based petroleum company.
