Eaton Vance Senior Floating-Rate Trust to offer shares

San Luis Obispo, Calif., March 18 - Eaton Vance announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that its Eaton Vance Senior Floating-Rate Trust will offer up to 1,690,275 shares. As of March 8, the last reported sales price of a common share of the trust (NYSE: EFR) was $17.29.

The fund seeks to provide a high level of current income with preservation of capital as a secondary objective.

Under normal market conditions, it invests at least 80% of its assets in senior loans of domestic and foreign borrowers. The loans may be denominated in U.S. dollars, euros, British pounds, Swiss francs, Canadian dollars or Australian dollars.

Scott H. Page, Craig P. Russ and Peter M. Camp comprise the primary investment team.

The sales load is 1%, and the investment advisory fee is 1.19%.

Boston-based Eaton Vance Management is the investment adviser to the funds.
